Sarah Whiting, born and bred in Canberra, grew up in the Tuggeranong Valley. Sarah graduated from the Australian National University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours). She joined the O’Connor Harris team in March 2018 and following completion of her Practical Legal Training was admitted to practice as a lawyer in the ACT Supreme Court in October 2018.
As a newly admitted solicitor, Sarah assists and practices in a variety of the firm’s areas and is gaining a wealth of knowledge from the firms’ more senior practitioners.
Under Gavin’s guidance, Sarah assists in personal & commercial litigation, building & contract, criminal, and family law matters including binding financial arrangements.
Sarah assists Aleira with will drafting and estate planning, powers of attorney matters in ACT & NSW, applications for probate & estate administration in ACT & NSW, commercial leases and business purchases & sales.
Sarah enjoys the challenge and the variety of work she receives and dealing with whatever lands upon her desk. The number of matters she is involved with means she builds relationships with a wide range of the firm’s clients, including but not limited to individuals, mums & dads, builders, partnerships and companies.
Sarah enjoys being able to assist in a variety of matters and practice areas while facilitating an efficient and open process with clients. The direct and regular contact she has with her clients she finds is invaluable to enable the smooth progression of matters.
When not in the office, Sarah is pursuing a number of creative outlets and can often be found instructing and attending classes at a local dance studio where she loves the thrill and reward of teaching and performing. Sarah also is a makeup artist and loves the transformative and glam power of makeup! In any free time she has, Sarah also enjoys trying Canberra’s newest food haunts with her husband and spending time with her family.
